SO... we were shopping at Target and found a giant foam airplane for him. We took it to the gym to play with, expecting it to be broken within the hour. But this is a very sturdy and well-made airplane-- Steve and I flew it back and forth across the gym for an hour or so, and it was so much fun! The kids ran around under it, and loved watching it crash. It's designed to pop the wings off when it hits something head-on, so they don't break.

A few days later, we decided to take it to a nearby park. Nicole fell down once and got wet, so she wouldn't walk anywhere the whole time. Then Steve accidentally put the tail piece on upside-down, and discovered that it made the plane do loops.

It turned out to be a wonderful thing, since flying it straight is tricky outside. That, and it was good for a few laughs since magically it kept attacking me from behind.
ANYWAYS.
It was the hit of all the little kids at the playground, who each wanted to come help fly it. Especially two little boys, older than Adam, who wound up breaking off part of the tail.

Sigh.
And Adam had ben so careful and had enjoyed it so much... and fixing those always make them fly funny....
Maybe the Easter Bunny will bring him a new one.
