costume pictures!

I finished their costumes last month, but was waiting until the leaves started changing to take pictures. Unfortunately, it is darn near impossible to take a picture of a baby who can't wait to crawl out of the shot, so I settled for pictures by our front door. Enjoy the insects!

Two butterflies and one caterpillar.

Yeeeaah, who ever thought up the phrase "cheese" for photos?!

Small and fuzzy!

*sigggh* Adam. Who knows why he does the things he does? Cute, though.

My fave. Two gigglers and one deftly exiting the photo frame.

And, just fyi, my husband and I will be completing the family ensemble as trees.

country village and stocker farms

In our beloved October tradition, we've been heading out to fun fall activities each weekend. So far, we've gone to the Country Village and Stocker Farms. Both very fun.

Train rides! Whee!

Most of a family photo. With corn. :)

A corn box, instead of a sand box. Pure genius! I've been wondering if we could manage one...

september, in a nutshell

I'm warning you, this is the post of Rebecca-milestones. So here's a pic of Adam and Nicole. In a giant box. 'Nuff said.

(I don't even know where I left off blogging, so this will be nice and random.)
Rebecca moved to the big crib.

Been crawling.

(interjecting) and happy birthday to meeee!

She started solids.

She's sitting.

She's movin' on up! (in clothes sizes)

august

Getting ready to go to the zoo.

Beautiful day at the zoo.

Nicole's first stick-person drawing.

Rebecca's doing her first crawls!

Baking and decorating cookies is great entertainment while Rebecca naps.

It's fun when she's awake, too.

We've had a pretty fun month, taking the kids out in the lovely weather. We've been going to lots of parks and the zoo while it's all sunny. My dad and his wife came to visit and we had a great time with them (of course, I lost my camera right before they came, but I'm pretty sure there are pics on Steve's phone if I can remember to get them off!) And we gave our friend Y a birthday party.
Now I'm on to planning lots of fun fall playgroup activities and getting the kids' costumes made! Plus, I got my birthday present a little early... let's just say it takes up at least an hour of every day! :) details to come!

home again

Unpacking.

Sick day-- Adam passed around a virus.

Rebecca didn't catch it, though. Yay.

Forest Park in Everett-- awesome park!!! Besides a wonderful playground, it also has a petting zoo.

Rebecca liked watching the other kids play.

She got her exersaucer! It's always a great day in babyland when they're old enough for one of these!

snowbird!

We recently got back from our annual Utah trip, and this year we drove! We had a great time stopping at parks and hotels and visiting family all the way down. Snowbird was a lot cooler this year, and even still had some snow up on the mountains. We had a lovely time swimming, playing, and having game nights after the kids went to bed.

One of the places we stopped was Pendleton, Oregon. It had the coolest park EVER: Pioneer Park.

Yes, Rebecca's in a Christmas outfit. Don't judge; it was soft and fuzzy and we had a long drive in the car.

Once at Snowbird, we did fun things like hiking to the point:

There was still snow!

We also went swimming:

Rebecca's first time!

We took family pictures:

And at the end of every day, we crashed!

memorial day

Bit late, I know, but we actually fun over our 3 day weekend so I wanted to share.

We spent Saturday at Howarth Park, which is by the ocean:

and Monday at the zoo (the kids' current favorite outing):

It was Rebecca's first trip!

Family of five!

The kids loved digging in the dirt... sheesh, take them to the zoo and that's what they like... :D

...while Rebecca played with her blanket.

And, of course, their favorite part: the carousel!

And some bonus Rebecca pics:
