Stuff from this week

This week, for me, was one of those "future mommy" weeks... you know, where you think about how different your kids will be in ten years, and how in 20 years when they're grown and gone you'll wish you had cute little babies to make giggle and toddlers to squeeze. So I've been trying to take a lot more pictures and started making movies of them doing everyday things. It's my memory 401(k). :) It's already making a whole lot more "interest" than mine from my one year of teaching... ha ha. Seriously... teachers need to make more money.

ANYWAYS.

I moved Adam's horse back out to the dining room. He's loving that! (Doesn't keep him out of Nicole's exersaucer though... sighhh. I will have to film him getting out of it, though... he literally goes over the side and has to stand on his head to get his legs out of the little holes.)

Biased parent alert: could she BE any cuter?!
(yeah, yeah, we've been watching "Friends"...)

Loving her exersaucer... especially after Adam's gone to bed! :D

That pillow angling up toward her face--- that's why she likes her toy less when Adam's up...

But mom, she LIKES it... she totally likes it!

Yes, they are so cute. But this has actually been a difficult week. Anyone who's called me this week had probably heard nothing but screaming in the background. It's like a switch went off and the Terrible Twos started. I'm talking lay-down-on-the-floor meltdowns over tiny little things. Fortunately, that's just not Adam's natural personality, so the fits usually last only a couple of minutes.
And, of course, Nicole just hit 4 months, which for our kids means-- teething time! Adam gave us 2 months of crying before he actually got his first tooth, so I'm expecting her to follow suit.
Put those together, and you have Steve and I making deals about which kid we get in the evenings... once you call one, it's yours for the night. We try to guess which will have the least crying outbursts and thus maximize our sleep... :D you single people probably think that's funny but all the parents out there know we are really, truly... not kidding.
Actually, Steve is, as usual, extremely helpful and deals with most of the screaming in the evenings. He also lets me sleep in, and took the kids so I could go see a movie with a girlfriend yesterday... I really couldn't ask for anyone better.
And yes, it is almost 2:30, so time for bed... this probably didn't read very smoothly, but whatever! At least I blogged! ;)

signing off-- love to all!

I'm sorry it's been tough! Ethan's been sick and throwing some major tantrums over who-even-knows and so I have great sympathy for you right now! Good luck making it through the teething time as well! Your kids truly are cute, though! :)
