Ups and Downs of Life

So Steve brought home a lovely cold from school this week... and while he's almost over it, Adam and I are just getting into the no sleep, no easy breathing, miserable, fussy stage of it. (Yes, I'll admit, I too am fussy.) So to keep my mind off the fact that I will probably have another terrible night, I thought I'd write about some great things that have been happening.
First of all, I have a fabulous husband who gets up with our little son during the week sometimes when I just can't handle it. And also, Adam has been practicing standing without support the past two days! He'll be pulled up on something, and then he'll just let go and stand for a bit before lowering himself to the ground. He's also been babbling in the "almost words" that are so funny. More and more we look at each other because it sure sounded like he said a real phrase!
He's also gotten to where he'll crawl faster and faster when you're trying to get him out of something he's not allowed in.
My favorite thing, though, is the peek-a-boo. He loves to pull one of my shirts out of the laundry (usually clean!) and pull it over his head until I say, "Where's Adam?" Then he pulls it down and giggles. He also likes it when I put it over his whole head and he tries to crawl without seeing, laughing the whole time. He is so funny.
However, he is now cuddling Steve while moaning a bit so I'd better go relieve the tired Daddy. Love to all!

It must be going around. I got sick on wednesday of last week too and is still sick today (sunday). she has been miserable with first a cough and sore throat and then the annoying common cold symptoms. Adam has been an amazing help with taking Zack 24/7 so he won't get sick too. He hasn't slept but a few hours each night for almost a week and STILL has a good attitude about everything. So, we feel your pain & it is awful. I hope by now you are better though! If not maybe we could bring dinner by! Let us know!
