Yesterday was pretty hard on Adam (Mondays always are) but he did manage to do two truly funny things yesterday.
The first was him playing in our big curtain. He started out doing peek-a-boo, then accidentally got all the way under the curtain. He thought that was SO funny, and started pushing out with his little face and hands while laughing. He then crawled out from under, and immediately tried to go back again. He was successful, but laughed so hard he fell over backwards. I was laughing, too, so he didn't cry about falling. He did the out-under-out thing a few more times with both of us just laughing hysterically. He gives my laughing muscles a workout most days!
The second thing was actually kind of sad. He gets really upset that we can work the gate to the kitchen and he can't. So yesterday, he had had enough. (We have a hands-free gate with a foot pedal at the bottom that needs a lot of pressure in order to work.) He tried pushing the pedal with one hand. Then leaning on it with both hands. Then he tried pushing the pedal with one hand while pushing on the gate with the other (which is how it works, he's just not heavy enough). He got frustrated with that, so he pushed a toy through the bars, and that made him giggle. At least something got through the gate!
Life with this child is never dull! :) And thank heavens for that!
