Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving! We hosted my family this year, and we went all out with the dinner and everything. We even rented a ridiculously large flat-screen on which to watch movies and play video games. We hit the black Friday sales, and did really well-- we were incredibly blessed at Wal-Mart and wound up getting what we went for and getting out in about 45 minutes... while most people who did that spent about 4-5 hours at the store. We're not doing Wal-Mart next year (in fact, I've made a vow not to shop again there, ever, but that's for other reasons.) We did Kohl's at 4am, and it went by really fast- we were out by 4:30. Then W-M, then Staples, which was a really small one and only had about 25 people waiting to get in. So we did 3 stores and were home by 6:30. It was an awesome time, and we loved getting to have a little early-morning date. :)
We had a great time playing with my family, and having our kids get to know their cousin on my side. We had so much fun and stayed in our pjs so much that no pictures were taken, excepting those on Nicole's birthday celebration. I'll have to track those down and post them.
I hope you had a great Thanksgiving and are getting excited about Christmas! I know we are... we did most of our shopping on Amazon (where else?) and so the FedEx and UPS guys are becoming family friends. :D We finally decorated yesterday and it's starting to feel like the season.
The First Presidency Christmas Devotional is on tonight, a wonderful event that celebrates Christmas. Go to lds.org to check it out!
