Life as Usual

Hey, sorry about the long time of no posting. I finally figured out how to connect all the little cords to our printer, so I could use its card reader, so I could post pictures... it's always a sequence, isn't it!
ANYWAYS... here are some things that Adam has been up to, at least.

Looking cute while he plays.

Showing me the window. And what do you think he'll do next?

You guessed it.

Playing in the box our AC came in.

We made it look like a house, but he didn't play with it very long.

We have been cleaning and arranging... all the boxes you see in those pictures are unpacked or put away, and we got our temporary kitchen table and chairs all set up. We put on our BYU Alumni license plate cover (yea!) and got Adam's bookcase built so his room is clean now.
Steve won the Amazon lottery (they draw a few names of employees every week for a chance to buy a laptop from the company store) and got us a 3-year old HP. He's in the process of installing everything on it, and then he said it's going to be mine! Which is good because the mouse on mine has pretty much stopped working.
So we've been busy, but we're loving life here. We have an amazing ward, and some members who are fast becoming good friends live in our apartment complex. We take Adam swimming a couple times a week, and he loves it! The weather is in the 70's, and cooler on days where we don't see the sun. Baby is kicking regularly and, like Adam did, does not like anything to touch my tummy. We found the perfect hospital at which to deliver, but we're not sure if the one practice of midwives who deliver there will take us on. So we may be stuck with an OB. :( Worth it, though, to deliver at this hospital. Imagine the Orem Community Hospital atmosphere with twice as many perks, PLUS the highest level of newborn care so you never have to transfer hospitals no matter what. So, overall, life is good. :)
I took Adam to nursery last Sunday, and they said we can bring him every time as long as we stay with him until he officially turns 18 months. This makes church a whole lot better for all of us! He seemed to like it; he's always a little shy around lots of other kids, but by the end he was playing like everyone else. He's also working on talking something fierce! One of these days he's going to wake up and all his babbles will actually be words! My favorites are still "Uh Oh!" and when he answers questions. If he agrees, he says "Uh huh" or "Yeah" and if he doesn't know the answer he says "Ummm." It's so fun to watch him!
Well, feel free to post questions for me under comments... what do you wonder about living in Washington?
And hopefully this will end the Great Blogging Drought.
