Farewell, Governor Romney. You were the ray of hope in this bleak campaign.
(This is a pretty good article about the whole thing, if you're interested. I liked the whack-a-mole comparison!)
Mitt is out. I stood in line for almost 2 hours to vote, followed the debates and talked politics with everyone I know for this??? I don't know who on earth I'm going to vote for now, but let me tell you, I'm depressed. Things are not looking good for this country of ours. (And I'm not saying he was perfect, but c'mon... first we lost Thompson, the stand-by-the-Constitution guy, and now Romney, our one candidate with morals.) We're about to have the biggest fights on the family, goodwill to mankind, and honesty in our dealings if I know anything about who's left in the race. Get prepared, all. We need to be ready.
Consequently, anyone know any good third-party candidates?

Those lines were crazy, weren't they?? Do you know what, though? McCain has bothered me. A lot. I disagree with him on a few issues, but he may not be such a bad choice after all. He's at least got morals enough to consistently vote pro-life and even though his personal marriage track record has not been so hot, he recognizes and politically supports the traditional definition of marriage. With three Supreme Court judge nominees on the line, I bet we could count on him to keep the balance tipped to the conservative side, where issues of preserving life and family count a lot. There's a lot I like about Barack Obama (not just his looks!), but his political position on these fundamental moral issues make me leary of electing him as president. There's a lot to consider, obviously. Maybe we'll just have to go get some Honeybaked Ham and talk politics!
