Adam's Playground Adventure

So Steve introduced me to a cute little park down the street from us, next to his old elementary school. I took Adam there last Wednesday (and had every intention of posting these then, but life happens. On the plus side, I love the fact that Steve and I still stay up until 2am sometimes just talking.)

*...I just had to go comfort our little son and it was so cute... I lay down with him on the bed and he plopped his little head on my pillow and went right to sleep. He always loves a pillow...*

ANYWAY, here's a little "picstory" of our afternoon at the park. Oh, and it was sad, there was broken glass on the sidewalk and it gave my stroller a flat tire. But Steve, always the amazing hubby, came to my rescue with a can of tire-fixing foam before we went night-frisbee-ing this weekend. (So fun!)

When we got to the park, I first helped Adam go down the kiddie slide. You can see his smile peeking out from behind his nuk.

He then got to climb around on the stairs a bit.

Next, he crawled off to explore the playground. He was too busy to look up at the camera. And if you're wondering why his feet look weird, it's because his little white tennies have no treads on the bottom, so I added strips of blue duct tape.

He discovered the crawling tube, and loved playing peek-a-boo with me in it.

Then, he discovered the cool echo inside it.

And finally, we went to his favorite part, the swings. He giggled and talked and bounced in the little seat. He LOVES swings.

And then it was time to go home.

As for other news, we're enjoying making plans for moving next summer, getting ready for the holidays, and watching Adam do things that are funny and cute. Like today, he decided to play the piano with two hands and a foot. And then when I was crawling on the floor with him, he liked to be chased around a chair and almost took off walking by himself because he was so excited. And that's been our week. Oh, and in case you were wondering, the previous post was inspired by Adam's habit of audibly spitting out his nuk if he sees another one, and putting the new one in. It's really funny. He honestly believes the other one will taste better. He also does that with his bottle. There's an audible "vop" as his nuk forcefully exits his mouth to make room for the bottle.
Oh, and at church he got stuck under a folding chair. He is always trying to crawl under and through things, and he made it through the first two bars, but he couldn't get through the two bars on the other side. It was sad, but funny. :D
And one last thing: (last thing, I promise!) Adam is turning 9 months tomorrow. 9 months! That's crazy! That's 3 months shy of ONE YEAR OLD!!! Where on earth does the time go??!!
