Yesterday, I let Adam play in the kitchen while I baked (he loved that, and even tried to shut me out of the kitchen by closing the gate! See how YOU like it, Mommy!) I wanted him to stop banging his toy on the oven, so I took the toy... and his hand came with it. He wound up walking around the kitchen holding only ONE of my hands! It was so cute, and he was so excited, he kept waving his other arm up and down (his "I'm excited" motion).
Meanwhile, Steve, my unbelievably brilliant husband, has received an amazing offer from Amazon. So we've been having fun pricing houses up there. Woohoo! We really did like Washington.
He's still got some flight-out interviews left, so I'll let you know the final decision when we know (for sure by the end of the month).
And other than that, life is good... we're trying to put Adam on an earlier bedtime schedule, and our Child Who Refuses To Sleep is fighting us every step of the way. But I have faith that we'll get there if we're patient and pray about it a lot! Pretty much everything in life can be figured out with faith and prayer.
And one final note... wasn't General Conference just the best??!! I'm printing out all of Saturday afternoon's session to put with our Preach My Gospel manual! I am so grateful that we have the ability to see all of our prophets and leaders speak to us twice and year. I love to hear their counsel, and every time I try a little harder to incorporate what was said into our life as a family and in my life personally. I know that they are called of God and that they are the chosen men we can turn to for modern day revelation. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and that this is His church. I am so grateful for my ancestors who chose to join the church so I could grow up a member. I know that Steve and I and all of our children are sealed forever and can have eternal happiness as a family. And I know that Heavenly Father loves each and every one of us, His children, and wants us to return to Him. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
