Seattle Center
Hi y'all, sorry it's been so long. We've had pics, but life has been CRAZY! We randomly got to see Steve's brother Richard and his wife Suzanne on Tuesday, and then our car died on Thursday, and then we finally got it fixed and back home on Saturday (bless our friends the Deardeuffs for giving us rides, and our fabulous home teachers). So now I can finally post a few pics. We went to Seattle Center with Steve's brother and took pictures of some really neat things, like a weird domed fountain, us in front of the Space Needle, and even Steve imitating some fish sculptures. Unfortunately, most of the pictures did not turn out well. We're still on the hunt for our perfect Us With the Space Needle picture. However, we did manage to capture this beautiful one of Adam amongst the flowers.

While we were out and about (Seattle Center is a collection of buildings like the Space Needle, Science Center, Children's Museum, Music Project and Science Fiction Museum, etc. set on this beautiful park with all kinds of art and sculptures on the grounds) we stopped by the little theme park. Out front, we had all seen the children's rides, like the tiny pirate ship that swings and the itty-bitty roller coaster with one hill. Steve wanted to get a picture of me riding the roller coaster, so we were heading that direction, from the back, and we discovered a whole other side to the rides. There we found adult-sized rides, including a lovely little roller coaster. So we thought. After paying an outrageous price for one ride, Steve and I stepped aboard (little Adam safe on the ground with R & S). We then experienced one of the most terrifying rides of our lives! There were drops with twists, sideways spins 2 feet from the ground, and all sorts of things. By the end of the ride, we were gasping for breath (okay, I admit-- I screamed my head off the whole time) and thinking that maybe the price was worth it. There were other coasters for cheaper, but Steve and I both agreed, with shaking limbs, that we'd had enough fun for the evening.
All in all, we had a good time. And now that our car is safely back home and ready for us to take to church tomorrow, life is getting pretty much back to normal. As normal as it gets for the three of us. :)
